Pain Research Challenge |

The Virginia Kaufman Pain Research Challenge from the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Pitt is seeking applications for projects addressing a specific problem in the area of acute or chronic pain. Projects that address mechanisms, diagnostics, and/or modalities of pain are acceptable. Award funding of $50,000 is available to cover direct costs for a 12-month project. |

The Innovation Institute has two opportunities for you in the spring semester to begin your innovation commercialization journey. The First Gear program will provide you with $3,000 to assist with market research and customer discovery activities and pair you with an experienced business mentor to help you begin plotting your journey from the classroom or lab to the market. Each cohort includes six, 2.5 hour workshops and will be held virtually. |

Applications are open for the LifeX Spring 2022 Accelerator Program through February 14. This healthcare specific curriculum is designed to prepare teams for commercialization outside of the academic environment, including developing an investable pitch and commercialization plan, direct engagement with experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, and an opportunity to win one of the cash and service prizes valued at more than $50,000.
