"Technology for People with Disabilities and Older Adults" Themed Cohort:
Applications for non-themed innovations will be accepted and considered. The cohort sessions will be held in the Human Engineering Research Laboratory (HERL) Conference Room from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM on the following dates:

Participants will also have an opportunity to tour HERL's design, fabrication and test capabilities that may be leveraged to further the development of projects beyond First Gear.
At the end of the program participants have the opportunity to present their idea to a panel of judges from the regional economic development community and earn additional funding of up to $20,000 and HERL fabrication assistance.
Fall Cohort Date: Friday, September 13, 2019 (10-12 p.m.)
Applications are due 2 weeks prior to the start date
All sessions are typically held on the Oakland Campus.
