The Women in Computer Science (WiCS), School of Computing and Information, and Innovation Institute are delighted to bring you She Innovates, Pitt's only all-women hackathon.

The kick-off event will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. on the 3rd Floor of the Information Science Building.  The Project Expo and Closing Ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on the 3rd Floor of the Information Science Building.

Keynote for Opening Ceremony: Nicki Zevola Benvenuti, Founder & CEO, FutureDerm, Inc.

The hackathon is for all female students - undergraduates and graduates - in the Greater Pittsburgh area with or without a computer science background. All experience levels are encouraged to register. Come for a weekend filled with hacking, technical talks, mentorship, and fun!

If you are without a team or hacking experience, don't stress! The She Innovates kick-off party will feature team formation, idea pitching, and a Q&A session for first-time hackers. You can also find a team ahead of time using Pitt's TeamFinder. We will even have mentors on site to help guide you through the hacking process.

You do not want to miss She Innovates!
