From the Director
It’s always a good time to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship, but autumn provides us with additional motivation. We have just come off Women’s Entrepreneurship Week and are pleased to keep the celebration going by featuring an intrepid Pitt female innovator in this issue of Impact. Eunice Yang is on leave of absence from Pitt Johnstown in order to launch her company, OK2StandUp, which aims to solve the costly problem of accidental falls among elderly people.
Next up is Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 5-12, where the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s Big Idea Center is taking the lead, in partnership with the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship at neighboring Carnegie Mellon University. I encourage you to get involved in what promises to be an exciting week for innovation and entrepreneurship at Pitt as we enjoy the change of the seasons. |
