Entrepreneurs, investors, start-up enthusiasts, faculty, students, economic development leaders, or anyone interested in the availability of new technologies and the growing local start up community are invited to attend.

Admission to the Innovation showcase and all science events is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Michael G. Wells Entrepreneurial Scholars Lecture

Attend a presentation illuminating the path to success in entrepreneurship.  Kurt M. Rote is Co-Founder and CEO of Pitt spinout, Western Oncolytics, an oncolytic virus immunotherapy company that partnered with Pfizer with co-develop its lead therapy.  Kurt will share his story and advice on finding and developing a viable business, particularly from early stage technology developed initially as University research.

Many of these technologies are available for licensing, and others already form the basis of local, early-stage Pitt spinoff companies.
