Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal.

The Chancellor's Innovation Commercialization Funds were established to enhance opportunities for innovations discovered by investigators at the University of Pittsburgh to advance toward commercialization.  The program is intended to provide financial support that cannot typically be obtained from other traditional sources of funding, including the faculty member’s department/school or external government funding agencies.

Proposals can be submitted to one or both of the following:

Chancellor's Innovation Commercialization Funds – Pitt Only

This fund will award $35,000 to a full-time, tenured, or tenure stream faculty at Pitt to support pre-commercialization activities for an innovation developed at Pitt.

Chancellor's Innovation Commercialization Funds – Regional Partner (1:1 cash match)

This fund requires a 1:1 cash match from a regional partner and will result in a $35,000 award to a full-time tenured or tenure stream faculty at Pitt to support pre-commercialization activities for an innovation developed at Pitt.
